Finders Keepers // Andrea Smith

Friday, 30 March 2012

I'm quite in love with the new Finders Keepers, Sydney markets flyer by Andrea Smith. I didn't even realise at first that it was paper collage!!! (you can imagine how doubley excited I was on closer inspection) Tres Excellent!!

The window art she did for Made 590 is great. So cute!

Rat Pack Prints // Crispin Finn

I have been following with envy all the excitement of the PickMeUp Graphic Art Fair in London the past couple of weeks. So many amazing things on show and so many amazing workshops... damn the man who has not yet invented an intercontinental rocket!

Crispin Finn's new rat pack prints created especially for Pick Me Up pretty great! Jaws and Breakfast at Tiffanys (both shown below) are my faves... but the whole shebang would make a great set too!?!

Little Shirts in Lightbulbs // Nadia Tan

Tuesday, 20 March 2012

Who would have thought it... to not only make miniature clothing but to then magically put them into lightbulbs!?? I do so love how peoples brains work and Nadia Tan has one very creative brain.

NadiaTan_big

I was first taken by her little paper creations above but then upon seeing her blog realised she is far far from being a one trick pony - little animals from clay, painted mugs, tea, handbound books, mobiles and muchas more - she is one clever lady! You can find here etsy shop here too.

Party hats // TMOD

Monday, 19 March 2012

pass-the-parcel

I've posted before about the extra creative stationery of TMOD and have been meaning to share their latest ventures on here for awhile now. I've fallen a little in love with their series of party hat cards - donning a pirate hat definitely beats wearing a tacky old badge with a number 30 on it. And wait there's more... you can buy a pass the parcel package (shown above) of 6 hats with the the final winner getting the jewelled crown! A pretty ace way to enforce costumes at a party don't you think?!

Cutesticks wrapping papers with an afterlife too (dot-to-dot and cutout dolls)

Pantone tarts

Wednesday, 14 March 2012

These have done the rounds I know but they're so incredible I had to share too. Created by french foodie and colour enthusiast, Emilie, they are entirely edible tarts - but of course way too gorgeous to ever eat!

CraftCovers_horiz

Another book I was lucky enough to work on last year (along with the lovely folks at Rotovision) is now out!! Hooray!! The Crafters Guide to Taking Great Photos, written by the very talented Heidi Adnum, is full of the most beautiful photographs and crafts products you'll see. Not to mention loads of interviews and great photography tips.

The covers left to right: Search Press in UKMurdoch books in Australia & Interweave in US
NB. I did not design all the above covers - only the internals below and the styling of the Yellow Murdoch cover

It was such a pleasure to design the internals of this book as the content is so fabulous (I read it cover to cover as I was going through) I highly recommend getting yourself a copy if you like craft or photography or even better, both!

The book is available to buy here in the US, here in the UK and here in Australia

Curious creatures // Zim&Zou

Zim&zou2

Zim&Zou are pretty handy with a scalpel and manage to transform all manner of ordinary objects into glistening paper masterpieces. These wonderful little creatures, from the Cabinet of Curiosities series, were made for the PICK ME UP Contemporary Graphic Art Fair to be held in London at the end of March. All those tiny little feathers! oh my!
