Paper thin armour // Morana Kranjex

I sometimes think that if I could change something about my wedding day, I would wear a paper dress instead. As much as I loved the frock I did adorn, a paper one would be perfectly fitting for a once-worn white coated affair don't you think?! It could be then hung up on the wall as a piece of art. (I comfort myself with the knowledge that the dress would probably be the cause of a million papercuts throughout the night and would end up a bloody mess... though perhaps these black masterpieces are the answer?!)

Morana Kranjec is a Croatian textile and fashion artist who creates incredible armour-like dresses from folded paper. Though they don't look all that comfortable they are intricately beautiful and are oh so striking. It's impossible to see where they begin and end.

kids coats // little goodall

I'm pretty excited about winter now and strangely a large part of that reason is that kids wear wooly, cuddly coats. There is something about miniature coats that just makes my cheeks dimple. Little hands poking out, hoods on little heads and all the more squeezable little bundles of warm! These coats by Little Goodall are possibly too ridiculously cute (can something be tooo cute?!) Incredible right?!



They don't come cheap though... so until I hit lotto, this little yellow fishermans coat will have to suffice for our little lion. I think he quite likes it too (I dont think I'll show him the other options!)

Sophie Delaporte for Comme Des Garçons

Amazing photographs by amazing photographer Sophie Delaporte for the latest Comme Des Garçons / Idoménée fashion book. She is famous for her use of colour and dramatic effect and these certainly do catch my colourful eye. Alice in Wonderland meets urban origami. Bleak house meets paper mill. (I believe it's actually made from felt, but I'm going to pretend it's paper because that makes me happiest. I hope you don't mind, even though its factually incorrect!)
